This large (300 square feet) room on the second floor is furnished with a matching antique oak bed (queen) and dresser set, a fall front desk, wing chairs and other oak furniture including a commode and chamber pot original to the house. You do not have to use the pot! Rather, enjoy the spacious bathroom that was installed in the house in 1941.
Annie’s room, named for Mrs. W.J. Montgomery, has always been the guest room.
"The Grove is truly a very special place - it resonates with the lore of those that have gone before and called it home, to those that enjoy it now as a "home away from home". A special place where every detail tells a story of times past, and the labor of talented hands keeps this treasure very much alive and glowing for us in the present. Congratulations! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
"To arrive at The Grove after a day of driving is to arrive at an oasis of tranquility, peace and the warm hospitality of Ann and Denley. After our first visits here in January, there was no question about where we would stay en route south this trip."
"We had a wonderful, albeit, brief experience. Loved your artistic talents in decorating, woodworking, and in the culinary department. Enjoyed the historical connections in the house and the surrounding area. Thank you so much for your attention to detail. Made our trek north from Florida a more delightful experience."
